ABOUT US
The Tree and Woodland Company is an arboricultural and forestry consultancy providing advisory (and project management) services on trees and woodland in the following sectors: Planning and Development; Estates and Woodland; Golf courses, and Trees and Landscape Design.
We have associations with ecological, architectural, historic landscape, and landscape architect sub-consultants, who can deliver specialist elements of advice and project management where required.
We can also deliver work proposals for clients, either by our own associate sub-contractors who carry out tree planting, tree surgery and woodland management works, or by project managing the clients in house team or preferred contractors.
SECTORS
Estates and Woodland
Our range of services covers every aspect of tree management on estates from forestry and woodland management and new planting to historic landscape restoration and assistance with veteran or hazard trees. Many woodlands suffer from understandable neglect owing to poor timber prices and a lack of incentive to manage them.
Development and Construction
Trees are a material factor in development and construction projects and subject to planning guidance. Our tree surveys assist landscape architects, planners, engineers and architects by identifying which trees are worth retaining and how to incorporate them into developments and new building layouts.
Golf Courses
Trees and woodland form an essential part of the setting of many golf courses, and are integral to how individual holes play. We work with golf course owners, managers and architects to create trees and woodland management plans to maximise the potential of trees.
Trees in Landscape Design
We regularly assist landscape architects and private and public clients with the management of trees in landscape design projects, including creating or restoring parkland areas on estates, producing planting plans around new buildings and developments, and managing existing trees within a landscape design.
