Business Development & Bid Executive

We are seeking an ambitious and self-driven Business Development & Bid Executive to join a growing team. This role will involve supporting the company’s business development and tendering activities, playing a key role in generating new opportunities and building client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a background in tendering and business development, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively. This is an exciting role with opportunities for professional growth, requiring a strategic thinker with a passion for achieving targets and driving business success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in tendering or comparable roles, ideally in consultancy or the construction industry
  • At least 5 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably within the same sectors
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Tender Portals (e.g., eTenders)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and act on business leads
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
  • A natural flair for client engagement, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Qualification in Construction, Engineering, Business, Administration, or related fields

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Divisional Operations Directors on key weekly tasks and outputs
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of public and private sector tenders and bids
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support business development initiatives
  • Manage client relationships, including cold calling, lead generation, and scheduling meetings
  • Support key account management activities and ensure consistent delivery of KPIs
  • Maintain strong client engagement to meet business development goals
