🌍 About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Officer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking environmental consultancy team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, regulatory compliance, and hands-on environmental management.

You’ll play a key role in supporting waste enforcement, licensing, auditing, and environmental inspections — ensuring that all projects and operations meet Irish and EU environmental standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in environmental compliance while developing your technical and professional skills in a supportive, team-focused environment.

🔎 Key Responsibilities:
  • Support waste enforcement and environmental inspections across a range of projects and client sites.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of environmental licences, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct site audits and prepare environmental monitoring reports in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with local authorities, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Contribute to environmental assessments and consultancy projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance environmental performance.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills:
  • Level 8 degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Full, clean Irish/EU manual driving licence (essential).
  • Strong understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and waste regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Eagerness to learn, develop, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
🌱 What’s on Offer:
  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Hybrid working options, with flexibility to work remotely (subject to project needs).
  • Career development support, including mentorship and professional training.
  • Supportive, friendly team culture within an innovative, sustainability-driven organisation.
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Discretionary bonus scheme and Refer-a-Friend programme.
  • Bike-to-Work scheme and commuter supports.
  • Comprehensive pension scheme with employer contributions, income protection, and death-in-service benefit.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for well-being and mental health support.
  • Opportunities to work on impactful environmental projects that shape a more sustainable Ireland.
