The Role:

Our client is hiring a Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering our client’s large-scale renewable energy projects, managing all aspects of project development through to operation. Working within the Renewable Energy programme structure, the role leads individual project delivery, ensuring commercial, technical, and financial success in line with our client’s governance and quality standards. The Senior Project Manager plays a key part in advancing wind, solar, battery storage, and grid infrastructure projects that support our client’s strategic objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale renewable projects (planning, commercialisation, construction, commissioning, operation).
  • Drive coordination across cross-functional teams in a matrix PMO environment to achieve project outcomes.
  • Support procurement and commercial processes (construction contracts, offtake agreements, financing) and manage project budgets/forecasts.
  • Oversee planning consents, permits and statutory approvals, ensuring environmental, regulatory and grid compliance.
  • Manage key stakeholders (contractors, regulators, suppliers, community partners) and provide clear project governance/reporting.
  • Own project risk management and investment approval documentation, and lead operational handover into ongoing portfolio management.

What we are looking for:

  • Third-level degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or related discipline (Master’s advantageous).
  • 10+ years of large-scale energy/infrastructure delivery experience, including 5+ years as a Project Manager in the energy sector.
  • PMP (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Strong commercial experience: budget control, procurement, contract management, resource optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish planning, regulatory, grid and environmental frameworks.
  • Proven leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
