Wind Analysis Specialist

Our client is looking for a Wind Analysis Specialist to support the delivery of a strong pipeline of renewable energy projects. This role will focus on wind resource assessment, site optimisation, and supporting the design of high-performing wind farms.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and optimising wind farm layouts using tools such as WindPro, Windfarmer or Openwind
• Carrying out wind resource assessments, energy yield analysis, and site suitability studies
• Analysing GIS data and project constraints to inform design decisions
• Supporting solar layout design (e.g. PVsyst) where required
• Managing and analysing wind measurement data (mast, LiDAR)
• Contributing to environmental and technical studies (noise, shadow flicker, visual impact)
• Working with internal teams and external consultants to optimise project outcomes
• Supporting procurement and technical due diligence for renewable projects

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
• 4+ years’ experience in wind analysis or renewable energy projects
• Strong experience with WindPro (or similar wind modelling software such as Windfarmer or Openwind)
• Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
• Data analysis skills (Excel, Python, MATLAB, R or similar)
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
