An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Volunteer Recruitment Officer to our client's Midlands team.

Salary starting at: £16,504 - £17,880 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: 12 months fixed term

They are looking to see how they can develop and diversify their volunteer workforce, and if so how they adopt best practice in volunteer recruitment. The post is about delving in to those questions, experimenting, being creative; identifying new ways to recruit volunteers, from new places and into new roles and then making it happen.

You will have excellent communication skills, love working with new people, have worked as a volunteer or with and for volunteers, and you will really appreciate the importance that volunteers hold for the future of this organisation. You might have experience in recruitment, HR or working for a charity or community organisation.

If successful you will not be alone; as part of a close team you will work alongside the Volunteer Development Officer and have access to all the different areas of expertise that makes up the Midlands team. For the forward thinking this role is a unique development opportunity providing training and insight in to the conservation, volunteering and charity sectors. If you don't know the difference between and 'hedge' and a 'house' sparrow it's OK, you will soon. Above all you will be representing the this charity and volunteering, and your passion and enthusiasm will shine through in all aspects of your work; you will make a difference.
