Salary band - Up to £22,000 (dependant on experience) plus overtime (by agreement)

Hours - Core Hours 9.00am-5.00pm, with half an hour unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to work overtime

Holiday & Benefits - 25 days hols plus bank holidays. 5% Employer Pension contribution. Other employee benefits after successful completion of 6-month probation period

Brief outline of the role

Why is the role essential for the business? 

To continue work started to meet customer requirements and complete future developments. There is a need to deliver a whole project as a package.

Role Summary

Working in Seiche Environmental providing daily project support to the Project Manager(s) to deliver environmental projects and to develop a comprehensive client base through conferences, meetings and promotion of Seiche Environmental services; to support the Project Manager(s)in the supply of quotes and tenders and coordinate projects for the department.

Key tasks of the role

Principal accountabilities:

• Support Project Manager in the production of tender documentations 
• Coordination of Offshore Consultants
• Building key relations with suppliers
• Support Project Manager in delivery of offshore projects
• Report Coordination
• Provide consultancy support
• Primary point of contact for Offshore Consultants to streamline availability, project queries and organising and tracking movement of personnel
• Sourcing of suitable with offshore / onshore consultants to support bids
• Build key relationships with offshore consultants to encourage good working relations with Seiche and gain industry information
• Securing and coordination of offshore consultants for Seiche Environmental Projects
• Organising travel for offshore consultants
• Formatting of CVs and other documents for project bids
• Completing company information and pre-qualification documentation
• Obtaining and maintaining offshore certification for key offshore consultants
• Assisting with Project Paper work including admin for offshore consultants, Risk Assessments, Quality Plans and project procedures.
• Working with the Project Manager and Offshore Consultant to produce draft and final reports to clients and regulators
• Coordination of Offshore Consultant project paperwork incl. invoices, timesheets, expenses etc.
• Assist Project Manager in providing project advise, consultation and expert advice to clients.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to liaise and build relationships with internal stakeholder and clients. This will include client visits and submission of tenders and the subsequent follow up actions.

• Marine mammals particularly in relation to anthropogenic sounds
• Passive Acoustic Monitoring Technology
• Underwater Acoustics
• Offshore industry, seismic, renewables, dredging, decommissioning, research etc
• Offshore working HSSE


• Previous experience in an offshore role including MMO, PAM, Acoustic Scientist, Environmental Scientist
• Previous consultancy experience
• Leadership roles
• Proactive

Education & Certification

• Undergraduate degree in marine science or related subject,
• JNCC MMO certification
• PAM Training certification

The nature of this role will mean that the successful candidate will be expected to respond to requests outside of standard business hours, additionally potential inter-company site visits, client visits, marketing events and possible global travel will be essential in this role.
