Job Description

DSC Regen offers a range of 92-day PAID work experience placements within the community development and biological/ecological sectors, as part of the Erasmus+ work experience programme, funded by the European Union. We are now recruiting for Community Development positions in Marseille, Seville and Ibiza, Spain starting in September 2019.

Community Development 

There are several different types of placement available, such as biological/ecological research orientated placements or local development, youth, education and project support orientated placements.

These paid placements are 3 months in duration and will enable participants to develop experience and practical skills as well as offering language tuition to develop their Spanish and French language skills and understanding of the destination country. Participants will also work towards our Level 3 Award in Community Development. Flights to Marseille, Seville and Ibiza will be early September 2019 preceded by a few days of preparatory training in London (exact dates on website) 

In order to support you during your work placement DSC Regen will provide you with the following:

• €120 per week subsistence allowance
• Shared accommodation (own bedroom, shared living spaces such as kitchen, bathroom)
• Language tuition
• Flights to and from your destination (including airport transfers in your host city)
• Travel medical insurance for the duration of your stay
• Ongoing support and local pastoral care for the duration of your stay

Preparatory training is provided pre-departure incorporating language tuition and practical and cultural information. Participants receive a subsistence allowance of €120/week and the cost of flights, insurance and accommodation are funded directly by DSC Regen. 

As part of this placement experience you will also complete a Level 3 Award in Community Development accredited by the Learning Resource Network. 

Positions are open to anyone between 18-64 years of age who are looking to expand their skills and enhance their future employability within these sectors. A good level of social awareness and a keen interest in community development work is required. 

For some positions no previous knowledge of French or Spanish is required whereas for others intermediate or advanced levels are needed.  

Interviews are completed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. There are 7 positions available. You are advised to submit your application early.
