• Grade & Salary: 6, £34,427 rising to £37,656 over four years

• Type of contract: Fixed term contract until 31 October 2021

• Work pattern: 200089 - 37 hours per week. 200094 - 32 hours per week

Role Purpose

Are you an experienced, marine water quality or marine WFD specialist ready to champion the environment in Wales? Do you know your WFD’s from your EIA’s? Then we’ve got the job for you! 

As NRW’s Marine Water Quality or Marine WFD specialist, you'll be responsible for providing expert advice on activities and developments in the marine area including renewables and non- renewables. This would include working with internal and external partners to provide specialist advice to a high standard. 

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic professional to be part of a Wales wide team of Marine experts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Substantial experience in provision of specialist technical marine advice, at a regional or all-Wales level, in one or more of the required specialisms in the role.

• Strong analytical and research skills.

• Good project management, work planning and prioritisation skills. 

• Ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships and networks.  

• Ability to communicate complex specialist advice and information clearly to multiple audiences.
