Our client is hiring an ecologist to undertake the professional delivery and completion of a wide range of ecological consultancy contracts on behalf of their clients.

Salary: £25,553 - £28,000
Location: Norwich, Norfolk

About the Role

The role will undertake the professional delivery and completion of a wide range of ecological consultancy contracts on behalf of the organisation's clients, including (but not exclusive to):

  • Protected species surveys
  • Site and habitat surveys and assessments (including BNG)
  • Mitigation strategies for a wide range of habitats and species.
  • Conservation management advice (species and habitats)
  • Ecological Clerk of Works on selected projects

About You

Essential skills and experience:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in ecology or another relevant subject;
  • Hold or at least be eligible for membership of CIEEM;
  • Previous experience in conservation or with a consultancy business;
  • Experience of undertaking species and habitat surveys and developing management and action plans;
  • A flexible approach to work, sound organisational skills and the ability to produce clear and concise work to tight deadlines;
  • Good knowledge of UK and European environmental legislation;
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to own transport with business insurance use.
