Principal Project Manager – Civil & Environmental Engineering
A leading Irish consultancy seeks a Principal Project Manager to join its Circular Economy team in Cork, Carlow, or Dublin. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in civil and environmental engineering and offers opportunities for career progression to Associate and Director levels.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead civil and environmental design teams, ensuring project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
· Supervise and mentor senior and junior staff.
· Prepare technical reports and tender documents.
· Manage multi-disciplinary design work and coordinate with Project Directors.
· Ensure compliance with quality assurance, management systems, and health & safety regulations.
· Oversee client relationships, external stakeholder engagement, and sub-consultant coordination.
Requirements:
· Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
· Chartered Engineer status.
· Experience in design and project management (15+ years).
· Oral Hearing experience (desirable).
· Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Budget management experience.
· Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
· Full driving licence.
