Junior Ecologist - Terrestrial/ Freshwater

This is an excellent opportunity for Junior Ecologists looking to significantly progress their career in one of Ireland top consultancies and get to work on some of the most high level projects in the country.

You will need at least 6 months experience (internships acceptable) and be able to display samples of your technical report writing skills. 
We are looking for candidates with skill sets in one or more of the following areas:  Ornithology - bird identification (visual and aural) and bird survey; Bat identification and survey; Plant identification and habitat mapping (Fossitt 2000 classification); Aquatic experience is also of interest. 
Other tasks will include data analysis and collation following field work, writing up of results and preparing digital mapping. In-house training in survey methodologies and use of specialist equipment and software will be provided. 

An honours degree in ecology, natural science or a related biological discipline. Full driving licence.  Good field identification skills in at least one area (i.e. botany, mammals, birds or other area). Excellent written and spoken English. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. Report writing skills desirable. • Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management membership and 1 or more years’ professional experience in ecological consultancy would be highly desirable but not essential.
